Small Ember Vase - Ceramic Vase Orange Flashing

I threw this vase on the wheel and added a spiraling line while it was still wet. It was fired on its side to 2300 degrees in my wood kiln. I enjoy the contrast between the rich orange flashing on one side and the matte surface created by settled ash on the other.
